In defense of Kazakhstan

With the talk about Borat, I need to say that the only person I know I’ve met from Kazakhstan isn’t like him. It was a woman sitting next to me on the plane home from London in 1999. Here‘s her picture and what I wrote then. And that’s not really a good picture; she was lots prettier than the picture shows.
