I saw a raccoon on my street on the way home from klezmer tonight. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one. They were decimated by rabies about fourteen years ago. For several years before that we used to see them very often.

They (the racoons) have moved to Roslindale where the action is. I have seen 2 in the past four years. They like to knock over the cans and steal the garbage.
In June I saw a wild turkey in my neighborhood. He saw just hanging out.
Funny to see wild things in the city.
